Russians Are Coming – To Myanmar

Russian investors are studying to find the possibilities to invest in Myanmar tourism sectors. They took an interest in funding hotel renovations in Ngwe Saung beach and also planned to arrange facilities for Russian tourists. Since 2004, Russian visitors began to stream into Myanmar, most of them travel to Bagan, Mandalay and Inlay environ, explained a Russian tour guide.

Vietnam is their major point of entry to the Land of Pagodas. Volume of Russian tourists is unusually high this year, and as a result it is a bit hard to find Russian speaking tour guides at the moment. There are only 25 Russian guides in Myanmar.
