Thetkyamuni Temple

Close by the Kondawgyi Temple is the Thetkyamuni Temple; it has entrances on all four sides, but the main porched entrance is orientated to the west. The temple dates from the late 13th century and has some decipherable examples of contemporary wall paintings, based on the Jataka tales. The shrine paintings are not in such good condition compared to other Bagan temples.
